Eloise Albrecht, AP, LMT
MA103142

Eloise’s first experience with body work was when she was 15 years old, attending a theater-themed summer camp where she learned hand massage.  Exploring her love for performing arts, Eloise worked backstage in theater, opera and dance, plus a little film & TV in the late 80’s and early 90’s though backstage shoulder massages earned her the greatest accolades.

She took a class in massage from a teacher at The Swedish Institute in NY in 1987 which led her to attend the Florida School of Massage in Gainesville, Florida in 1993. She worked as a massage therapist until 2000 when she was called back to the New York stage as a wardrobe assistant to tour with the Paul Taylor Dance Company. In 2003, Eloise enrolled at the Tri-State College of Acupuncture in Manhattan. Later, Eloise also went to Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine in Santa Monica, California to expand her knowledge of East Asian Medicine, Western Medicine, and herbs.

The unique curriculum of theTri State College of Acupuncture in New York expanded on the typical traditional Chinese medicine curriculum, specializing their students, by focusing on the power of the meridian channels, and the similarities between the pathways of myofascial (muscle & fascia) and acupuncture patterns. The pathways on the surface of the body called meridians [or channels] correlate to the organs and their function.

Following this extensive education, Eloise developed Myofascial Acupuncture from her background of 30 years as a massage therapist and 20 years of practicing acupuncture in her clinic in California.  Eloise divides her talents between the east and west coast, returning for short visits to California to treat her dedicated patients, committed to whole body health.
